Xuzhou - The Capital of Han Dynasty Culture

It is said, "For Ming and Qing culture, look to Beijing; for Sui and Tang culture, look to Xi'an; for Han Dynasty culture, look to Xuzhou." Located in Jiangsu Province, Xuzhou is a historic city (formerly known as Pengcheng) where historical figures from various dynasties, such as Xiang Yu (the Hegemon-King of Western Chu), Liu Bang (the founder of the Han Dynasty), and Su Dongpo of the Northern Song Dynasty, left their mark. Xuzhou Han Culture Scenic Area: Known as a Han culture theme park, the "Xuzhou Han Culture Scenic Area" features the Terracotta Warriors of the Western Han Dynasty, displayed at the Xuzhou Han Terracotta Warriors Museum and the Underwater Terracotta Warriors Museum, the latter being the only underwater terracotta warriors museum in China. Visitors can also explore the uniquely shaped Western Han Chu King’s Tomb, the Han Stone Relief Decryption Experience Hall showcasing funerary art, the Han Stone Relief Corridor, and the Xuzhou Han Culture Museum, which comprehensively interprets Han culture.

Yunlong Lake Tourism Scenic Area: At the picturesque Yunlong Lake and Yunlong Mountain, visitors can take a cable car to enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and lake or ascend the elegant observation deck to take in the scenery of Yunlong Lake. Follow in the footsteps of Su Dongpo by visiting the Crane Pavilion, Su Gong Island, and Dongpo Stone Bed. After exploring the cliff inscriptions at Xinghua Zen Temple, you can stay at the Xuzhou Yundongjing Hotel under Yunlong Mountain, immersed in a meditative atmosphere.
